Rachel is a senior biomedical engineer with a keen interest in product development, mechanical design, and human factors. She is proficient in developing and testing medical devices from concept to manufacturing and has experience working with auto-injectors, wound closure devices and medical infusion pumps. Prior to joining Root3 Labs, Rachel worked in the Weinberg Center for Women’s Health at Mercy Medical Center assisting in surgical procedures and studying the usability and function of various medical devices used in gynecologic oncology. Rachel has a passion for solving problems and creating innovative designs. She’s also our resident expert in the surgical application & use of medical devices. In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking, reading, playing piano and spending time with family and friends.
